Can I Export My Students and Data from DriveBook?
Your student relationships are yours. Here's what DriveBook's data ownership policy means for you.
A fair question before joining any platform is: if I ever want to leave, can I take my data with me?
DriveBook's position is that your student relationships are yours. You built them through your teaching. The platform facilitates booking and payment, but the trust between you and your students is not something DriveBook owns.
What Data Is Yours
All of the following belongs to you and will be available for export:
Student list — Names, email addresses, and phone numbers for all students you've worked with on the platform.
Booking history — A record of all past lessons including dates, durations, and payment status.
Earnings records — Your income history by booking, useful for tax and accounting purposes.
Progress notes — Lesson feedback and notes recorded for each student.
What You Don't Own
Reviews are tied to your DriveBook profile and cannot be ported to another platform — they're associated with the DriveBook booking record that the student reviewed. However, the content of reviews is visible to you and you can reference them.
Payment processing history lives partly with Stripe. Your Stripe account (which DriveBook creates on your behalf for payouts) remains accessible to you — Stripe is your account, not DriveBook's.
Getting Your Data
Self-service data export is coming soon. In the meantime, contact DriveBook support if you need a copy of your data. A complete data package will be prepared and sent within a reasonable timeframe.
